A colourful Christmas Pt.2 Arteza Products

December 29, 2019 0 Comments
Hey everyone!
I am back with the 2nd part of my A colourful Christmas blog post. Today I’m going to be sharing with you all the supplies I received for Christmas 2019.
Let’s kick off with Arteza. On Black Friday, my FiancĂ© ordered for me the 120 set of Everblend Markers, and I sneaked in the 72 set of Expert coloured pencils. We paid via clear pay, which meant we could spread the cost over 4 fortnights, which at this time of year especially is a god send for us as we have a big family to buy for!

Here’s a picture of them in all their glory and, yes, they come in the case so you don’t even need to buy storage!

Aren’t they beautiful! In my next blog post I’ll be sharing my swatch charts I’ve filled in and where you can download and print them from. And of course I cannot wait to start using these markers. I’ve already tested them and they feel great in the hand because of the triangular barrel plus they have 2 nibs, a bullet nib and a chisel nib as pictured below, so they’re great for big areas and finer details.

So amazing I’m in love with them!
Next we have the 72 set of Expert Coloured pencils, which, in my opinion, are better than Prismacolour pencils (and I’m not being sponsored or paid to say that). I have the 72 set of Prisma’s and they don’t compare to these beauties. They lay down beautifully on the paper and the amount of times you can layer them really is astounding. They also blend beautifully with each other, and a blended pencil.

They have a lovely slender barrel with a silky, but not slippery, feel when you hold them. Also unlike other higher costing brands of pencils, I don’t have to sharpen these as often as I don’t have to apply so much pressure. They’re very highly pigmented. It’s safe to say these are going to be a staple supply for me, and I’ve actually contacted Arteza regarding releasing them singularly so we can replace the ones we use more than others....and they said they’re looking into it so watch this space!

Still sticking with Arteza (yes I really do need every supply they make) my fiancĂ© also got for me the 72 set of Inkonic pens which are similar to their fineliners, but better in my opinion. I am still trying to learn how to use these pens to the best of their ability, so for now I cannot give a fair review of them, but you can look forward to that in the near future. Here’s a picture of them:

Aren’t they beautiful!
So they are all the Arteza goodies I received for Christmas, please join me on part 3 of this blog post, where I will be sharing the last of the colouring supplies I got. What are your favourite supplies to colour with? Leave me a comment and let me know. Also don’t forget to follow me on insta so you get the first sneaks of my WIPS and be the first to see my finished pages!
Until next time...Happy Colouring Everyone xxx

A very colourful Christmas!

December 28, 2019 0 Comments

Hey everyone and welcome to my first blog post! 2020 is going to be the year where I kick off my colouring blog and hopefully my YouTube. I also want to be productive on Instagram and make a Facebook colouring page. Maybe even design some of my own colouring pages and set up a patreon account? Who knows? So much to look forward to, and the year 2020 isn’t even here yet.
Anyway, resolutions aside, here are all the beautiful goodies I got for a Christmas. I feel so lucky to have family and friends who are so generous and loving to purchase these gifts for me ❤️

Firstly let’s start with the books I received.
On 7th December I swapped presents with my friends Ashley and Fiona, who come to my colouring meets in Swindon, and I was lucky enough to receive these two beautiful books:

And here is a quick preview inside them. The spiral bound colouring book is actually personalised and my name appears somewhere on every single page. I’ve never seen one like that before!

I am so into wanting to colour interiors at the moment so I cannot wait to get stuck into Beach Homes by Jade Summer. And the personalised colouring book is a great size to take on the go with me or pick out if I wanting to do mindless colouring where I can just put colour to a page and make it pretty. I love them both!

Next we have the books from my Mum and Dad. My mum isn’t very good with technology or ordering things online so she gave me a budget and told me to pick whatever I wanted within that budget so these are the ones I chose:

I picked up a copy of

  • Dromenvanger by Tomislav Tomic
  • Sprookjesbos by Tomislav Tomic
  • Romantic Country 3 by Eriy
  • The Beauty of Horror 3 by Alan Roberts
If you would like me to share pages or do a flip through from any of these books please leave me a comment and I will get to that for you.

Last but by no means least, is the colouring book I got from my FiancĂ©. I didn’t expect anything from him after he bought me the set of 120 Arteza Everblends and the 72 set of Arteza Expert Pencils (you can see pictures of those in an upcoming blog post) but alas, he bought me a book and even more art supplies...safe to say, he’s a keeper ❤️

He got me Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, Illustrated by Forest Diver, and published by Julia Rivers. I absolutely love it and cannot wait to get stuck into one of the whimsical pages.

Please join me in the next blog post where I will be sharing all the art supplies I received for Christmas, and links to where you can find swatch charts to print for each set.
